The Independent Fact-Finding Mission on Libya (FFM Libya) was established by the UN Human Rights Council on 22 June 2020. FFM Libya issued a public call for submissions on 25 January 2021, inviting individuals, groups and organizations to submit information and documentation of violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law in Libya since 2016.
Lawyers for Justice in Libya has prepared the following guidelines to facilitate engagement by Libyan civil society with FFM Libya. Guidance is provided on all aspects of engagement including the role and mandate of FFM Libya and how to collect and submit information or evidence to it.
