The 61st ordinary session of the African Commission for Human and People’s Rights (ACHPR) is currently taking place in Banjul, The Gambia. The International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and Lawyers for Justice in Libya (LFJL) take this opportunity to make recommendations to Libya and the African Union regarding the human rights violations that migrants face en masse in Libya. In doing so, both organisations have prioritised issues and measures that they believe are essential and needed urgently in order to guarantee a greater protection to migrants in Libya.
